Wan (Bridgette) Yu, Dch is our registered chiropodist at Toronto Orthotics. Born and raised in northeast China, Bridgette had a strong passion towards providing care and education to patients. in pain and discomfort. After coming to Canada, Bridgette completed her Bachelor of Kinesiology degree with honours at University of Toronto. Further developing her education in health sciences, she decided to went into footcare and completed the chiropody program at Michener Institute of Applied Sciences. During her training, she completed her internship at Four Villages Community Health Center and Queen Square Family Health Team. She has also helped various patients at The Hospital for Sick Children, David L. MacInTosh Sport Medicine Clinic, and Striowski & Associates Physiotherapy.

Bridgette offers full-service foot care including but not limited to diabetic nail care, ingrown toenail surgery, callous/wart treatment, cortisone injection, shockwave therapy, taping, prescribing orthotics and foot mobilization. Bridgette believe in holistic approach for healthcare. She loves providing education and passing on knowledge and fan facts about foot care to patients. She loves and had been collaborating with other healthcare professionals including family doctors, orthopedic surgeon, dermatologist, pharmacist, physiotherapists, chiropractors and personal trainers.

When is not at work, Bridgette enjoys playing the piano, swimming, cooking, doing Pilates and flying yoga. She’s been to all the 7 continents except Antarctica (which is on her bucket list) and loves scuba diving, sky diving and trying different food when she is travelling. She speaks fluent mandarin so don’t hesitate to ask her questions in mandarin if you would prefer things explained in your preferred language!
